support for DisplayLink devices using driver evince - more consistent and extensive use of the system log - additional facilities for remote problem diagnosis - changes in building, installation, and packaging * And, of course, there's a year's accumulation of bug fixes and minor enhancements. * Shared library libddcutil is backwardly compatible with that release 2.1.4. It contains some minor changes and additional API functions for display change detection. The SONAME is unchanged as libddcutil.so.5. The release library file is libddcutil.so.5.2.0 * Detailed information about the changes can be found in file CHANGELOG.md in the source tree, and on pages ddcutil 2.2.0 Release Notes (https://www.ddcutil.com/release_notes_220/) and Shared Library Changes for Release 2.2.0 (https://www.ddcutil.com/c_api_220/) on the web site. ==== dnsmasq ==== Version update (2.90 -> 2.91) - update to 2.91: * Fix spurious "resource limit exceeded messages". * Fix out-of-bounds heap read in order_qsort(). * Fix buffer overflow when configured lease-change script name is too long. * Improve behaviour in the face of non-responsive upstream TCP DNS servers. Without shorter timeouts, clients are blocked for too long and fail with their own timeouts. * Set --fast-dns-retries by default when doing DNSSEC. A single downstream query can trigger many upstream queries. On an unreliable network, there may not be enough downstream retries to ensure that all these queries complete. * Improve behaviour in the face of truncated answers to queries for DNSSEC records. Getting these answers by TCP doesn't now involve a faked truncated answer to the downstream client to force it to move to TCP. This improves performance and robustness in the face of broken clients which can't fall back to TCP. * No longer remove data from truncated upstream answers. If an upstream replies with a truncated answer, but the answer has some RRs included, return those RRs, rather than returning and empty answer. * Fix handling of EDNS0 UDP packet sizes. * Modify the behaviour of --synth-domain for IPv6. * Fix broken dhcp-relay on *BSD. * Add --dhcp-option-pxe config. This acts almost exactly like - -dhcp-option except that the defined option is only sent when replying to PXE clients. More importantly, these options are sent in reply PXE clients when dnsmasq in acting in PXE proxy mode. In PXE proxy mode, the set of options sent is defined by the PXE standard and the normal set of options is not sent. This config allows arbitrary options in PXE-proxy replies. A typical use-case is to send option 175 to iPXE. * Support PXE proxy-DHCP and DHCP-relay at the same time. * Fix erroneous "DNSSEC validated" state with non-DNSSEC upstream servers. * Handle queries with EDNS client subnet fields better. If dnsmasq is configured to add an EDNS client subnet to a query, it is careful to suppress use of the cache, since a cached answer may not be valid for a query with a different client subnet. Extend this behaviour to queries which arrive a dnsmasq already carrying an EDNS client subnet. * Handle DS queries to auth zones. When dnsmasq is configured to act as an authoritative server and has an authoritative zone configured, and receives a query for that zone _as_forwarder_ it answers the query directly rather than forwarding it. This doesn't affect the answer, but it saves dnsmasq forwarding the query to the recursor upstream, which then bounces it back to dnsmasq in auth mode. The exception should be when the query is for the root of zone, for a DS RR. The answer to that has to come from the parent, via the recursor, and will typically be a proof-of-non-existence since dnsmasq doesn't support signed zones. This patch suppresses local answers and forces forwarding to the upstream recursor for such queries. It stops breakage when a DNSSEC validating client makes queries to dnsmasq acting as forwarder for a zone for which it is authoritative. * Implement "DNS-0x20 encoding", for extra protection against reply-spoof attacks. Since DNS queries are case-insensitive, it's possible to randomly flip the case of letters in a query and still get the correct answer back. * Fix a long-standing problem when two queries which are identical in every repect _except_ case, get combined by dnsmasq. If dnsmasq gets eg, two queries for example.com and Example.com in quick succession it will get the answer for example.com from upstream and send that answer to both requestors. This means that the query for Example.com will get an answer for example.com, and in the modern DNS, that answer may not be accepted. ==== drkonqi6 ==== Version update (6.3.5 -> 6.3.91) Subpackages: drkonqi6-lang - Update to 6.3.91: * New bugfix release * For more details see https://kde.org/announcements/plasma/6/6.3.91 - Changes since 6.3.90: * Update version for new release 6.3.91 * backtracegenerator: convert memoryfence to qglobalstatic (kde#504386) * coredump/gui: add keywords to desktop file * 🍒backtracegenerator: don't crash when the proc was already deleted (kde#504389) * Fix minimum systemd requirement * preamble: improve log message a tad * preamble: leave a breadcrumb behind when loading a solib * preamble: pull thread into scope for debugging * preamble: make comment clearer * preamble: pull pc into scope so we can diagnose it easily * preamble: don't trip over undefined variables - Update to 6.3.90: * New feature release * For more details see https://kde.org/announcements/plasma/6/6.3.90 - Too many changes to list here ==== eventviews ==== Subpackages: libKPim6EventViews6 libKPim6EventViews6-lang - Add upstream change (kde#473847) * 0001-todoviewsortfilterproxymodel.cpp-fix-regression-in-f.patch ==== evolution ==== Version update (3.56.1 -> 3.56.2) Subpackages: evolution-lang evolution-plugin-spamassassin - Update to version 3.56.2: + Bug Fixes: - Check return value of CamelDataWrapper calculate size functions - Cannot add actions in 'Customize User Interface' dialog - Ensure "New" button action in Calendar view - Mail: Do not strip signature for Edit as New in Sent folder + Miscellaneous: Calendar: Cannot show/hide Tasks and Memos pane - Drop obsolete update-desktop-files BuildRequires and macro. ==== evolution-data-server ==== Version update (3.56.1 -> 3.56.2) Subpackages: evolution-data-server-lang libcamel-1_2-64 libebackend-1_2-11 libebook-1_2-21 libebook-contacts-1_2-4 libecal-2_0-3 libedata-book-1_2-27 libedata-cal-2_0-2 libedataserver-1_2-27 libedataserverui-1_2-4 - Update to version 3.56.2: + Bug Fixes: - Handle changed server pool in WebDAV collection sources ][ - CamelDataWrapper: Correct return value of size calculate functions - GOA EWS: Fallback to likely EWS host URL when autodicovery fails ==== evolution-ews ==== Version update (3.56.1 -> 3.56.2) Subpackages: evolution-ews-lang - Update to version 3.56.2: + Bug Fixes: - Cannot accept meeting invitations (duplicated attendee) - m365: GOA account rejects creating meetings ==== file ==== Subpackages: file-magic libmagic1 - Add file-zipdata.patch * Fix "Some zip files are misclassified as data" see https://bugs.astron.com/view.php?id=571 based on https://github.com/file/file/commit/60b2032b96fc185b37fb0f2152e834efb2edad6e ==== flatpak ==== Version update (1.16.0 -> 1.16.1) Subpackages: flatpak-remote-flathub flatpak-selinux libflatpak0 system-user-flatpak - Update to version 1.16.1: + Bug fixes: - Fix intermittent flatpak-portal crashes by avoiding unnecessary multi-threading - Don't show a confusing confirmation prompt when flatpak remove --unused removes autoprune-unless extensions that are no longer needed, such as older Nvidia drivers - Don't propagate $PYTHONPYCACHEPREFIX from host into sandbox - Don't propagate $WAYLAND_DISPLAY, $WAYLAND_SOCKET from host into sandbox if access to the Wayland socket has been denied - When discovering the AT-SPI bus, treat $AT_SPI_BUS_ADDRESS as higher-priority than GetAddress(), more closely matching the behaviour of AT-SPI itself - Fix a memory leak when installing extra-data - Don't show fatal transaction errors twice - Fix the build with -Ddefault_library=static - Fix incorrect error reporting - When using FLATPAK_TTY_PROGRESS, terminate OSC escape sequence with standard ST sequence instead of xterm-specific BEL - Include all options in shell completion for flatpak search + Enhancements: - When using parental controls, allow a child account to update existing apps by default, to ensure that security and bugfix updates can be installed. Modifier masks are now always considered as an opaque encoding of the modifiers state: * 1. Modifiers masks should not be interpreted by other means than the provided API. In particular, one should not assume that modifiers masks always denote the modifiers indexes of the keymap. * 2. It enables using virtual modifiers with arbitrary mappings. ==== libyui ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libyui-ncurses ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libyui-ncurses-pkg ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libyui-qt ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libyui-qt-graph ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libyui-qt-pkg ==== Version update (4.7.1 -> 4.7.3) - Fix build failure with gcc-15: Prevent complaint about hidden base class method (bsc#1243732) - Use %make_build instead of %jobs to improve reproducible builds (boo#1237231) ==== libzypp ==== Version update (17.36.7 -> 17.37.2) - Add a note to service maintained .repo file entries (fixes #638) - Support using %{url} variable in a RIS service's repo section. - version 17.37.2 (35) - Use a cookie file to validate mirrorlist cache. This patch extends the mirrorlist code to use a cookie file to validate the contents of the cache against the source URL, making sure that we do not accidentially use a old cache when the mirrorlist url was changed. For example when migrating a system from one release to the next where the same repo alias might just have a different URL. - Let Service define and update gpgkey, mirrorlist and metalink. - Preserve a mirrorlist file in the raw cache during refresh. - version 17.37.1 (35) - Code16: Enable curl2 backend and parallel package download by default. In Code15 it's optional. Environment variables ZYPP_CURL2=<0|1> and ZYPP_PCK_PRELOAD=<0|1> can be used to turn the features on or off. - Make gpgKeyUrl the default source for gpg keys. When refreshing zypp now primarily uses gpgKeyUrl information from the repo files and only falls back to a automatically generated key Url if a gpgKeyUrl was not specified. - Introduce mirrors into the Media backends (bsc#1240132) - Drop MediaMultiCurl backend. - Throttle progress updates when preloading packages (bsc#1239543) - Check if request is in valid state in CURL callbacks (fixes openSUSE/zypper#605) - spec/CMake: add conditional build '--with[out] classic_rpmtrans_as_default'. classic_rpmtrans is the current builtin default for SUSE, otherwise it's single_rpmtrans. The `enable_preview_single_rpmtrans_as_default_for_zypper` switch was removed from the spec file. Accordingly the CMake option ENABLE_PREVIEW_SINGLE_RPMTRANS_AS_DEFAULT_FOR_ZYPPER was removed. - version 17.37.0 (35) ==== lightdm ==== Subpackages: liblightdm-gobject-1-0 lightdm-bash-completion lightdm-lang - Fix build on Leap 15: Use gcc 13 - Add lightdm-1.32.0-qt6-library.patch, support Qt6 ==== linux-glibc-devel ==== Version update (6.14 -> 6.15) - Update to kernel headers 6.15 ==== llvm20 ==== Version update (20.1.4 -> 20.1.5) - Update to version 20.1.5. * This release contains bug-fixes for the LLVM 20.1.0 release. [#2438] * Use flit_core instead of setuptools as build backend. #2543 * Deprecate the __version__ attribute. Use feature detection, or importlib.metadata.version("click"), instead. #2598 * BaseCommand is deprecated. Command is the base class for all commands. #2589 * MultiCommand is deprecated. Group is the base class for all group commands. #2590 * The current parser and related classes and methods, are deprecated. [#2205] - OptionParser and the parser module, which is a modified copy of optparse in the standard library. - Context.protected_args is unneeded. Context.args contains any remaining arguments while parsing. - Parameter.add_to_parser (on both Argument and Option) is unneeded. Parsing works directly without building a separate parser. - split_arg_string is moved from parser to shell_completion. * Enable deferred evaluation of annotations with from __future__ import annotations. #2270 * When generating a command's name from a decorated function's name, the suffixes _command, _cmd, _group, and _grp are removed. [#2322] * Show the types.ParamType.name for types.Choice options within - -help message if show_choices=False is specified. [#2356] * Do not display default values in prompts when Option.show_default is False. #2509 * Add get_help_extra method on Option to fetch the generated extra items used in get_help_record to render help text. #2516 [#2517] * Keep stdout and stderr streams independent in CliRunner. Always collect stderr output and never raise an exception. Add a new output stream to simulate what the user sees in its terminal. Removes the mix_stderr parameter in CliRunner. #2522 #2523 * Option.show_envvar now also shows environment variable in error messages. [#2695] #2696 * Context.close will be called on exit. This results in all Context.call_on_close callbacks and context managers added via Context.with_resource to be closed on exit as well. #2680 * Add ProgressBar(hidden: bool) to allow hiding the progressbar. #2609 * A UserWarning will be shown when multiple parameters attempt to use the same name. #2396 * When using Option.envvar with Option.flag_value, the flag_value will always be used instead of the value of the environment variable. [#2746] #2788 * Add Choice.get_invalid_choice_message method for customizing the invalid choice message. #2621 #2622 * If help is shown because no_args_is_help is enabled (defaults to True for groups, False for commands), the exit code is 2 instead of 0. [#1489] #1489 * Contexts created during shell completion are closed properly, fixing a ResourceWarning when using click.File. #2644 #2800 [#2767] * click.edit(filename) now supports passing an iterable of filenames in case the editor supports editing multiple files at once. Its return type is now also typed: AnyStr if text is passed, otherwise None. [#2067] #2068 * Specialized typing of progressbar(length=...) as ProgressBar[int]. [#2630] * Improve echo_via_pager behaviour in face of errors. [#2674] - Terminate the pager in case a generator passed to echo_via_pager raises an exception. - Ensure to always close the pipe to the pager process and wait for it to terminate. - echo_via_pager will not ignore KeyboardInterrupt anymore. This allows the user to search for future output of the generator when using less and then aborting the program using ctrl-c. * deprecated: bool | str can now be used on options and arguments. This previously was only available for Command. The message can now also be customised by using a str instead of a bool. #2263 #2271 - Command.deprecated formatting in --help changed from (Deprecated) help to help (DEPRECATED). - Parameters cannot be required nor prompted or an error is raised. - A warning will be printed when something deprecated is used. * Add a catch_exceptions parameter to CliRunner. If catch_exceptions is not passed to CliRunner.invoke, the value from CliRunner is used. #2817 #2818 * Option.flag_value will no longer have a default value set based on Option.default if Option.is_flag is False. This results in Option.default not needing to implement __bool__. #2829 * Incorrect click.edit typing has been corrected. #2804 * Choice is now generic and supports any iterable value. This allows you to use enums and other non-str values. #2796 [#605] * Fix setup of help option's defaults when using a custom class on its decorator. Removes HelpOption. #2832 #2840 ==== python-cmdln ==== - Convert to pip-based build ==== python-dbus-python ==== - Remove require on dbus-1.
